With reference to the statements of some European leaders, we believe, like the German, Polish and other Constitutional courts, that the Constitution desired, voted and defended by the citizens comes before the norms decided in Brussels. We believe that our national democracies must cooperate on issues of common interest, but that the European institutions must respect the sovereign member states. We will be determined against the trends that undermine the principle of equality between states.
