Ahead of today’s, February 9th, extraordinary European Council meeting, and in the presence of President Zelensky in Brussels, Italian Prime minister and ECR Party President Giorgia Meloni, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala met to define common positions on a range of issues concerning the ongoing crisis.

The ECR Party’s unfaltering support for Ukraine was reaffirmed, with European Conservatives reinforcing their commitment to the country. 

With many critical questions at play regarding the ongoing Russian aggression in Ukraine, the energy and the cost of living crisis, ECR Party leaders reacted with pragmatism and proactive policy-making.
