President Meloni, on behalf of ECR Party, wants to express the terrible pain and sadness with we receive the devastating and horrific news on the murder of Tory MP Sir David Amess in Leigh-on-Sea today, stabbed by a man at the Belfair’s Methodist Church, in Eastwood Road North, while he was holding constituency surgery.

Sir David Amess was married and father of 5 children, had been a Member of British Parliament since 1983, representing Southend West since 1997. He was a kind, decent and honorable man, and a very hard-working and dedicated conservative MP, especially fighting for the pro-life cause.

ECR wants to strongly condemn the escalation of violence and insecurity that we suffer in the streets of all Europe and hopes that whoever perpetrated this heinous act faces the full force of the Law.

Our heart, thoughts and prayers are with Sir David Amess family, the UK Conservative Party and all the people in the UK. Rest in Peace.
