The European Conservatives and Reformists Party (ECR) has unanimously elected Mateusz Morawiecki as President, with Carlo Fidanza (Italy), Marion Maréchal (France), and George Simion (Romania) as executive Vice Presidents, and confirmed Antonio Giordano as Secretary General.
The newly elected President expressed his gratitude, followed by a warm and prolonged applause from all attendees, to Giorgia Meloni for the extraordinary achievements of the ECR under her presidency, evidenced by the addition of eight new European parties to its membership today.
The outgoing President congratulated the new leadership as well as all the new members of the Board and Council, emphasizing the importance of their contributions to the future of the European conservative movement.
The ECR Party is pleased to welcome the following new parties into its political family: AUR (Romania), Identité-Libertés (France), Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union (Lithuania), MOST (Croatia), Domino (Croatia), Domani – Motus Liberi (San Marino), There Is Such a People (Bulgaria), and the National People’s Front (Cyprus).
The addition of these political forces demonstrates the growing appeal of the ECR project and the strengthening of our shared vision for a Europe of sovereign nations rooted in respect for their traditions.
